Ordinary citizens, wealthy families and individuals, learners and students, high-profile government representatives, employees of multinationals, foreign service personnel, politicians, tourists, defence personnel deployed in high-risk areas, correctional services staff, employees of banks, aviation industry staff, fuel station attendants and many others, are current and future victims of kidnappings and hostage-taking.

There are three basic groups of kidnappers leading to hostage situations: professional, criminal and political.

Training in hostage strategies includes surveillance detection, surviving a kidnapping/abduction, minimizing exploitation, surviving internment, personal security awareness, sexual assault, and carjacking.

Surviving a Shooter on the Rampage Situation
Preparation for an unlikely event or being involved in an Active Shooter Situation. Rehearsal of your Plan of Action in case you are in an Active Shooter Situation.

Safe Travel
This training program will help you learn ways to make yourself an unattractive target for thieves and potential hostage-takers.

In keeping with the latest service provision modalities, HSTC was initially a fixed-location training centre, but has acquired a mobile training capability which allows it to take training to clients throughout South Africa, the African continent and surrounding Small Island Nations. Definitely. HSTC offers a suite of related training programmes in addition to hostage survival, and these are customized for the specific needs and requirements of the client.

Optimal class size is 30 to 40 trainees.

Again, this depends on the specific needs of the client, but training programmes are arranged in Packages, and can last anything from one day to five days for a complete suite of all three Training Packages.
